James Broomfield is the founder of Our Technician and has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry. His career began working for Comet as part of their computer repair team, visiting homes to provide support. When Comet closed in 2011, James saw the opportunity to launch his own business – combining technical expertise with a passion for helping people.
Since then, Our Technician has grown into a trusted local service covering South-East London and North-West Kent. James has expanded from computer repairs into a full range of IT support services, including setup, cyber security, software assistance, Apple and PC support, and recycling unwanted laptops to benefit local causes.
James is not only known for his technical skills but also for his strong commitment to the community. He fundraises for CASPA, a Bromley-based autism charity, and regularly donates refurbished laptops to families in need. His dedication to giving back has seen him recognised with awards and even honoured by the Mayor of Bromley.
